Mayfair is a member-run preschool with parents assigned year-long jobs. Whenever possible, assignments are matched to areas of interest and expertise and may include positions on Mayfair’s board of directors. Parents and teachers working together is the heart of the co-op preschool.

For the Threes and Fours programs, parents assist in the class once or twice per month. The focus is a family-friendly, flexible work schedule, which enables parents to trade participation days when necessary. Classroom work assignments include paint, craft and workbench. Duties for each job are reviewed during our annual fall membership orientation meeting, provided to parents and posted in the classroom. When there is interest, an on-site sibling nursery provides a baby-sitting option for parents working in the classroom.
