Mayfair has played an active role in the Farmington Community for 60+ years!

Mayfair Co-op Preschool is a vibrant, active community of parents working together with the teaching staff to provide a uniquely supportive, welcoming atmosphere for adults and children alike. In addition to volunteering their time to support the teacher and children during classroom learning, Mayfair parents work together to host a wide variety of school events including a trunk-or-treat, the Holiday Shoppe, monthly coffee chats, and Mayfair’s end of the year raffle.

During the summer, our parents stay connected via parent organized weekly park playdates. These playdates are a wonderful opportunity for children and adults to reunite, rekindle, and strengthen friendships formed during the school year. New and prospective families are encouraged to join our playdates to meet fellow students/parents before the start of school and become a part of our member community.

In addition to supporting the school, the Mayfair Parent community has a long history of supporting our hometown community. Mayfair spearheaded the effort to provide the Little Sprout’s children’s corner at the Farmington Farmer’s Market. Mayfair continues to provide volunteer staffing and materials to the Little Sprout’s booth to ensure children of market attendees have accessible and free summer crafts and sensory activities. Mayfair parents also enjoy contributing to Farmington events like the Founder’s Parade and the Scarecrow Competition!

Mayfair’s Neighborhood Friends

Mayfair Co-op Preschool started a new initiative in September 2021 called Mayfair’s Neighborhood Friends to meet and interview different businesses and organizations in the area to learn more about what they do, what they love about being part of this community, and some of their favorite things.
